Gold hits new record high: $3,896.49/oz!
Spot gold surged to $3,896.49, setting a new ATH. Later, it pulled back slightly and is trading near $3,859.09/oz.

Rate‑cut hopes + U.S. shutdown fears fuel the run
The ongoing government shutdown and weak U.S. data have bolstered expectations of further Federal Reserve rate cuts, keeping investors in gold.

Safe‑haven flows remain strong
Even with a stronger dollar trying to exert pressure, gold’s appeal as a hedge is keeping it elevated.

Market Outlook

Gold’s momentum is still charged. If upcoming inflation and jobs reports disappoint, it could test $4,000. But watch for a pullback toward $3,830–$3,870 if the dollar strengthens or Fed surprises hawkish.
